Snow? Cold?

Oh yeah, we got it! Last Saturday, about 8 to 10 inches fell here in Mid-Minnesota. Heavy, wet, sticky snow.It broke healthy tree branches and snapped power lines. And its cold too! Yep, Minnesota. Gotta love it. So Sunday I got a new set of snow tires and I feel invincible. Till the  next snowfall anyway.
  The mail has been heavy lately. All those Christmas catalogs to browse through. Make sure to get your order in so I can deliver those packages before the big day. Next week the new phone books come out.Oh boy! My back hurts just thinking about it! 450 of them! I'll take a little every day and be sure to make it to my chiropractor appointment.

95th anniversary of the Conservatory

Its no secret, by now, that the Conservatory is one of my favorite places. I went there early on Sunday morning for their 95th anniversary. They gave away free mums, which I gave to a friendly stranger. For the $2.00 donation, I put in $10.00. Then while sitting and enjoying the wishing fountain, I dug out every penny in my purse and placed them strategically around for others wish-makers to find. (Hopefully children) This was the second Fall flower showing of the year. They have Spring, Summer, Early Fall Bloomers, Late Fall Bloomers and Christmas Shows. Plus special events like the Orchid show. Whats not to like? Warm , beautiful, aromatic and calming.
